Social aspects

Noncommunicable diseases and addictions have a major impact on society in Switzerland as a result of the number of persons concerned and the resulting costs. The following indicators provide an overview of the issues from different angles: the management, the world of work, the impact on health and on society, as well as the quality of life and the health skills of the population.

They are principally defined in the national strategy "Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases".

The data are presented in interactive graphical form with links to the sources.
